Women's rights...

I like how they keep referring to "culture" in this video instead of pointing at what it really is, religion.

I'm sure it is their "culture" but where does that "culture" come from? I would imagine that if the bible said that men and women were equal we wouldn't see this type of violence, but it doesn't. It puts women second to men.

Instead of rational upstanding men who treat women with respect, we get these bands of thugs who think their doing some sort of "moral policing" (God's work) by beating women who go to night clubs.

This is a prime example of the skewed thinking of religious people. What about the morals of physically abusing another human being?

I can see right now some Christian reading this and going, "Oh well, that's that OTHER religion, not my "love thy neighbor" fantastic Christian religion."

"women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."

That's in your bible Christians :-D

This is just one example of the many sexist things in the bible. Let's not forget that original sin was all the woman's fault.

I'm pretty sure there are better moral guides out there with which we can educate our children and live our lives by. Don't you?
