This video inspired me...
The above video inspired me to start this blog. I'm not sure if anyone will ever read this but it will allow me to vent my frustrations and keep a bit of a catalog of reasons to enforce my view that religion should be purged from the planet. I use the term "religion" in a very broad way. Some religions, such as Jane ism are benign, but the vast majority in our world are horrible religions, that includes you Christians. I know you're saying, "Oh no... he's referring to the radicals". No, I'm talking about you moderates out there. The ones who pick and choose what you're going to believe from the bible. Either it's the holy unchanging word of the God Almighty or it's just a book. You can't take the part where it says to "Love thy neighbor" and then reject the part about stoning unruly children. If the mother in this video truly believed in the God of the bible as she said she does, she would have stoned this child. According to the bible she should have stoned him for two reasons. One: He claimed to be an unbeliever. Two: He was unruly.
Religious moderates are the worst of all. They provide "cover" for these extremists. They are the reason we all continue to ignore the elephant in the room when "terrorists" fly planes into buildings. "They hate our freedom" we say. Bullshit! They hate our religion. This is a religious war and to not acknowledge that does this world and the people in it a grave injustice.
Hopefully one day the logical amongst us, the rational people will be able to take our planet back from these violent, deluded individuals intent on diminishing the value of this life with fairy tales of the next.
Look at the young man from this video. This kid tells his mom that he's an atheist and her response is not, "why?" or "how is it that you came to this conclusion?" but threats. Not of hell, but of not getting presents for Christmas. It's good to see her priorities are in order.
Notice that the child seems logical and calm, but the religious mother instinctively gets physical with the boy. Such is the way with religious people.
I think this is less of a situation where the mother was concerned for her child and more concerned that someone is questioning her beliefs.
It's really sad to see things like this.
